On you marks, get set, GO! We are off to the races this week and next, seeing more doctors, more specialists, hoping to get more answers. We start today with our paediatrician, to bring him up to speed with all our latest developments (we haven't seen him since he referred us to our FPIES specialist in June). We will talk delayed vaccinations (words my super provax self never thought she'd say), developmental milestones and lip and tongue ties. Tomorrow we see a paediatric dentist who specializes in revising ties to discuss wether or not clipping her ties will help with her reflux and colitis. If he agrees it will help we can have them revised right then and there. That brings us to next week, when we meet with a new dietician who has a working knowledge of allergies in relation to breastfeeding. I'm hoping she can help guide us on our food trials and maybe to tweak or overhaul my diet to try to maximize our success with food introductions. Some where along the line I will also have to schedule my own appointment with my GP to get screened for micro nutrient deficiencies in my own diet because knowledge is power. All of these appointments come on the heals of even more doctors visits, in the last two weeks we have seen our FPIES specialist to adjust her meds, again, a dietician at the children's hospital who unfortunately had little to offer us and a trip to a lactation last Friday to confirm her lip tie. The appointments seem to be never ending, the answers are in short supply, BUT we are moving forward, placing one foot in front of the other and continuing our search for the key to this puzzle. One step at a time...
